Yes, we're still here.

Happy New Year. As you may have noticed, this website has not been updated for a while. This tends to be the way of remakes, though I had hoped to avoid it with this one. Unfortunately life has a habit of getting in the way of things like this.

Well, maybe not unfortunately for us. We still have a very small team, which means that one having a baby (congrats to MartinLoki) and one getting married (congrats to Myself) makes things slow down. Plus there have been job-related issues all round (I just started teaching last year, which started taking up all my time around April/May, as you may have noticed by the updates stopping then). The good news is that we are still working on the project, and the even better news is that significant progress has been made the last two months. We finally have our Valorian Isles landmass created and it is amazing. Not to mention enormous. In fact I'll put a screenshot up of an earlier version of the isles. We're hoping to be able to find decent palm tree models for Oblivion before the demo, but for now it is just populated by default trees and textures.

So don't worry... the textures and objects will be much better done in the demo, and also the mountains won't look so blocky (that was just because we used the quick option for generating distant terrain).

We now have a new dialogue writer on the team, Theron, which will take some of the load off of my shoulders (thankfully).

In other news, toilets in Japan spark a fire fear, and a wampaging wabbit has bitten an elderly woman in Austria.

I know how boring this sort of thing is when there is nothing visual to see, but there isn't really anything we can screenshot yet.

Things are still moving along though. I've started writing dialogue at warp speed (with 90 to 100 NPCs in the demo, I kinda need to). The world is still being built, and the music still being created. I've created faces for over fifty of the NPCs at the moment... I suppose I could take screenshots of some of the NPCs... but there are none of the Companions in Jhelom unfortunately.

Well, hopefully soon we'll have more to show. Stay tuned.

Our team has been discussing many issues in relation to Infinity Eternal. Issues from magic systems to where mead will be bought are being discussed. One other thing came up... a demo.

We have decided that we will showcase our new Britannia by creating the Valorian Isles. We will be making it as complete as possible, as close to what it will be in the final game as we can. So it will include quests, several dozen NPCs, companions, music, and the world interactivity you would expect from an Ultima. We plan on releasing it within the next few months, though we will all be trying to get it done as soon as possible (without diminishing the quality).

So stay tuned. And keep your eye on the Media section.

I've updated a few things in the website. The FAQ has been slightly altered, and also the website should now display properly in FireFox.
